With just one month remaining of the 2010s, I felt that it was time to take a look back at the decade that was. 224 players, eight managers, three stadiums, two relegations, one EFL Trophy and a promotion, a lot has happened since we were ambling around in the Championship under Chris Coleman back in 2010.
There was plenty to remember and plenty to forget, I’ve created this survey on the team of the decade to hopefully bring to light the better moments of the past ten years.
For the purpose of brevity, I have cut down the list of players to vote for down to the very best. I’ve added an honourable mention for each position, but if you feel there is anyone obvious missing out, please let me know via a comment or Twitter. For the full list of players who have played for us this decade, please refer to this.
Additionally, due to limitations with the online survey software available, it is only one per position (leading to a total of seven positions to choose), however, this also means that when I announce the results, I’m not limited to a 4-4-2 formation.
Hello Dominic,
Tried to do the ‘team of the decade’ survey but it wouldn’t load up. So here’s my line-up.
In goal – Joe Murphy.
Right-back – Cyrus Christie.
Left-back – Ryan Haynes.
Central defence – Reda Johnson & Jordan Willis.
Libero mid-fielder ahead of the back four – John Fleck.
Attacking mid-field – Jodi Jones, James Maddison, Tom Bayliss.
Up front – Callum Wilson & Adam Armstrong.
4-1-3-2 & it’s goals on a stick!

That’s strange that the link hasn’t worked. Does this below work any better:

I would have liked to have seen that team you’ve picked all have played together at the same time, goals galore!

Was flying through the survey without a care in the world then got to the last question about the manager.
That’s a depressing list of names to soon put someone in a bad mood.

Sorry about that!
Very slim pickings, even going beyond this decade.
