Justin Obikwu is a bustling, physical young striker who has been prolific for the club at under-18 and under-21 level and got his first experience of senior football last season out at Grimsby Town in League Two. Tending to operate as something of a goal poacher with limited involvement in the build-up play, notching three goals in 16 appearances for a struggling side that didn’t create much was a respectable output. Heavily involved in the last two pre-season campaigns and being a regular on the bench during the first half of last season, Mark Robins clearly sees Obikwu as a prospect but he could probably do with another loan spell at around League Two level to develop and build confidence in the men’s game.
